Serving Ventura

A tooth that aches only when you bite down, a jaw that clicks every morning, or a child's first loose tooth can each send you looking for a dentist you can trust. For Ventura families, we bring all of those needs under one roof at 805 Dentistry. Our team is led by Dr. Dar Radfar, DDS, and our office is in Thousand Oaks. We care for patients of all ages from across Ventura County, and Ventura residents are an important part of the community we serve.
We think of ourselves as a one-stop shop for the whole family's dental care. Ventura patients don't have to coordinate between several offices for routine visits, specialty treatment, and imaging. Our general dentist handles cleanings, exams, fillings, crowns, and preventive care such as fluoride treatments and sealants. Our team also includes a board-certified endodontist, a board-certified periodontist, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial radiologist, and a board-certified dental anesthesiologist.
Having these specialists in one office means your care stays connected. Say a routine exam turns up a cracked tooth or signs of gum disease. We can often continue that conversation with a specialist on our own team rather than sending you elsewhere. Our on-site dental lab supports restorative work such as crowns, bridges, and dentures. Many of our specialty services accept patients without a referral, so Ventura residents can come to us directly.
Our services cover nearly every stage of life and many kinds of dental needs. For younger patients, our pediatric care welcomes children ages 4 to 14, and parents are welcome in the treatment room. For smile alignment, we offer traditional metal braces, clear aligners, and Invisalign for both children and adults. We also accept orthodontic transfer patients and provide retainers for patients treated elsewhere.
For restoring and replacing teeth, we offer:
- Fillings, inlays, onlays, crowns, and bridges
- Complete and partial dentures, including snap-in and implant-supported options
- Dental implants, including All-on-4, All-on-6, All-on-X, and full arch treatment
- Bone grafting and sinus lift surgery to prepare for implants
- Root canal therapy on front teeth, premolars, and molars, plus root canal retreatments and apicoectomy
- Gum grafting, crown lengthening, gum contouring, and periodontal maintenance
On the cosmetic side, we provide porcelain veneers, composite bonding, in-office and take-home whitening, tooth recontouring, and Digital Smile Design for smile makeovers. We also perform oral cancer screenings, oral biopsies in our office, and CBCT and 3D imaging. These tools help us evaluate impacted teeth, TMJ concerns, and other conditions with more detail.
Why Ventura Families Choose Our Practice
Many Ventura patients first come to us for help with sleep apnea and TMJ treatment, which are a strong focus of our practice. Our orofacial pain services treat jaw clicking, locking, or limited movement. We also evaluate jaw-related headaches and treat chronic facial pain, including persistent pain with no identified dental cause. If you have been told your teeth look fine but your discomfort continues, we take the time to look further. We also offer night guards for teeth grinding and sports guards for active kids and adults.
Comfort is just as important to us. Dental anxiety keeps many people from getting the care they need. That's why we offer nitrous oxide, oral sedation, IV sedation, and general anesthesia, provided by a board-certified dental anesthesiologist. When something goes wrong unexpectedly, such as a knocked-out tooth, a cracked tooth, or sudden pain, we offer emergency dental appointments. Our endodontic team also offers same-day emergency visits and treats traumatic dental injuries.
Insurance, Financing, and Getting Started
We accept all major PPO insurance plans, and we file claims on your behalf. Depending on the type of care, some services are billed as general dentistry and others as specialty care. Our team can explain how that may affect your coverage before treatment begins. We also welcome self-pay patients, and financing is available to help Ventura families spread out the cost of larger treatment plans such as implants, orthodontics, or full mouth rehabilitation.
Getting started is simple. Contact our office to schedule an exam, a consultation, or an emergency visit. If a specialty service fits your needs, you don't need a referral to see our endodontist, periodontist, oral surgery, pathology, radiology, or orofacial pain teams. At your first visit, we'll listen to your concerns, review your history, and explain your options in plain language. Whether you need a routine cleaning or a complete smile restoration, our team is ready to care for you and your family.
